My grandfather had a Seiko I was interested in, and it fascinated me how it worked without a battery, as I’m used to charging my things everyday.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Orient Symphony Roman, more of a secret watch, but a good one indeed.
My first “luxury” watch would have to be the Seiko SPB117J1 Alpinist.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
The Alpinist was a watch that has a good story with it, is it’s a watch that went to Maui before the mass fires, where I lost my home. It has also been to Vegas, Los Angeles, a cruise, and bounces around the Bay Area.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Research something before you buy it, so you don’t regret it, like me.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Seiko for sure, as it fits the price bracket. Also Hamilton, Tissot, and oddly enough, Longines.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Longines Hydroconquest, Rolex Explorer, both I have no clue why apart from the fact that I like how they look on my wrist. The brand pertains nothing to it, it’s just how I like my watches.
