Particularly the very personal items of my ancestors. Rings, watches, things they put the fingers into or wore next to their beating heart, every single day. So much so that they wore the finish or gold plating off.
It brings tears to my eyes to think of the struggles they endured and the trials they suffered, all to bring me here to this world. And their watch or ring was there to bear silent witness to it all.
