Thanks 👍
I bought it from here:
https://seagull1963.com/product/seagull-1963-38mm-acrylic-sapphire/
But I contacted them directly and asked what model they produce closest to the original Seagull.
They said it was the one with the double line of text above the 6 marker. They said they had limited amounts but were able to send me one.
It may be worth asking if they still make that version now.
I never really had a 'top of my list' timepiece until I tried on the BB58. I already liked the standard Black Bay, but the 58 was something else. Fortunately, it's easily obtainable 'in watch terms' so I believe I will get it one day.
First of all, 3 great watches!
I'm a bit of an allrounder, but, I will say that when I am casually browsing online, Field watches do always catch my eye more often than most other styles.
I think you're right, the legibility is a huge factor, but also the stark contrasts created by the dial colours and I do love a matte dial.
Having been a Creative Designer for the past 12 years I also love the use of typefaces in horology too. Field watches have some great examples.
I know what you mean. When I really started getting into watches, I would put it on, and at times, it felt small in comparison. More recently though, I started liking the smaller size and I have been leaning more towards smaller case sizes in general.
