Awesome Pawn Shop Buy
So on a half day from work, I stopped by my local pawn shop to see if there were any gems. Unfortunately they had reduced the watch case to 2 instead of 4, so I knew there wasn't much to chose from.
There were the regular rows of 60mm Invictas and Fossils, but over at the far end was this... A Zodiac Olympos in the best version they made. I had seen this watch reviewed multiple times and loved the case shape and date window/seconds hand. I knew right away I wanted it, but I well knew it was $895 MSRP, so I knew it wouldn't go cheap.
But to my surprise, it had sat 90-days and was reduced further.. The total was down to $275!! So I just knew I had to jump on it.. Especially since the cheapest one I saw on eBay or Chrono24 was $300 for a super beat up one, but one at $500 and the rest were at least $600 or more. So even if I didn't like it, it'd turn a profit.. Well I love it, and I'm already looking at new straps 🥰

Awesome pickup! Mine is a bit older and a bit more beaten up but it's a fabulous case shape.

Hope to get this Olympos moved from my "to be repaired" drawer into my watch box. No where near as nice as yours but the Manta Ray case alone makes it worth saving.
