No. Rolex will never reduce its prices. At least not as long as used or greymarket watches sell for same or above value.

But concerning the echo chamber part: the whole watch industry is one! Have you ever seen or read a „professional“ review, that was really negative about a watch? Can’t imagine. It’s all about selling, buying and everyone feeling good and confident about it.
I also got one recently and I absolutely love it! I got myself the rosegold one, because 1. If I get a „wtf“ watch, I want to go all in. 2. Got it for a super cheap price of 220€ used, but in perfect shape. 3. it sounds strange, but looks a bit less bling!
What I don’t like about it is the rattly bracelet. I mean, for 500 bucks wtf man. But apart of that it’s a Great watch that fits many occasions, apart of a classic dress i guess…
I went to an AD to get a look at it. Looks really nice and is very unique in style. Like a Ranger when it was created for use of Alien’s Nostromos. BUT! The thing that stopped me from getting one is the crown. Jeez, it looks so cheap plasticky, I have no idea what material it is. But it seemed instantly ugly to me, so that Iiterally asked the salesman: „What kind of joke is this?“
