I was always into fashion and watches were just like a bracelet to me. I was never really “into it”. I have a friend that constantly asked me about my fashion watches and I wondered why he was so interested. Then down the rabbit hole I went. And here I am.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
I had timex, Casios and gshocks and fossils as a kid. Then over to fashion brands like Armani, Ted Baker and Keneth Cole.
My first serious watch was a Seiko Samurai Srpb51. I still have it and I will forever cherish it.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
My Christopher Ward Aquitaine Bronze. I bought that when my son was born. I also have his name engraved on the back.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Get to know what you really are interested in. Its easy to go down social and latch on to other people’s tastes. develop your own taste. Don’t ride hype either.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
IWC, Panerai and Rolex
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
VC overseas and Blancpain Fifty Fathoms.
When I acquire them…I’ll be the odd ball in a sea of Rolex subs and Royal Oaks (No hate…I would love to own one of those too 😂).
