Difficult watches to photograph
I tried on my wife’s Swatch and decided to share it with the WC community. I’m sure if I had a proper set up it wouldn’t have been too bad, but I had a hell of a time trying to get a decent pic of this one. The hesalite, the transparent face, but also the colour combo - the pink/magenta and blue did not help.
Which one of your watches do you find particularly difficult/finiky/challenging to photograph - whether you shoot it with your phone or if you have a more dedicated photo set up?

That's a "lens bender" for sure, but the pic came out very nicely! 🫡
Any LED, or Nixie tube, watch where you have to press a button so it displays for one to three seconds is a major hassle. You have a very limited time frame and the watch can't really stay perfectly posed while you push a button.
Pretty much any watch I photograph - (check my WRUW)- I don't waste money on phones it all goes on watches 🤣
My SM300 dial looks particularly flat and bland in pics...

Yeeees… I imagine the Hamilton PSR would fit into this category. Never thought about that. 😄

Fair enough! I don’t spend a lot of time taking pictures of my watches and I rarely do any post-production type of work as well. I have my phone, watch, and whatever is around me. 👍
