NWD - An absolute Spec Monster

Newest addition to the family. I travel for work..a lot..all over the world and have for sometime wanted to add a GMT to my collection. I was looking very closely at the Tudor BB pro/ Longines GMT, Mido GMT and the other established brands and their offerings. I saw a post and watched a review regarding the Jack Mason Strat-O -Timer. Two things I didn’t know struck me right away, first is that their showroom and offices are located right here in downtown Dallas in the heart of Deep Ellum..Spent many a night gigging down here in my past life and met my wife here 29 years ago..wow..saying that out loud is a trip..lol.

Second is that until I saw the review.. I thought that Jack Mason was a fashion watch brand sold in upscale mall stores. That’s what they were indeed.

Sometime ago apparently..they made the move up from that market and began targeting the watch enthusiast market. They work by appointment only and I was able to spend a good amount of time with one of the owners and designers. Super cool guy and a great looking shop and we talked about his history in the industry and the transition of the brand, showed me the watch and it was a slam dunk for me. The spec is ridiculous and ticked every box I had or could think of:

True GMT function featuring the Miyota9075 Caliber

40mm case that wears like a dream

48 click Bi-Directional sapphire bezel

Solid end links with QR

Boxed Double domed Sapphire sandwich

7 peice micro adjust jubilee style bracelet (with screwed links)

+/-5 per day regulated in house

200 meters WR and screw down crown

BGW9 Super-Luminova

It’s not cheap @ $999.00 but its easy to see why not. First “micro brand” and i’m digging it. Dont sleep on this one Crunch

Many thanks for the time Peter! @TimeToDesign

Looks really good on you although maybe a bit big for me but those specs for the price are unbelievable

Enjoy it!

Dope watch!

I picked up the Joker version after reading a review on here, and watching a few videos on YouTube. I've been impressed by mine, and recommend checking them out to anyone looking for a GMT.

Don’t shy away. I have a 6.5” wrist and it wears well. Only issue is the clasp, which is too big. I’ve been told JM is making a shorter, more traditional-style clasp with micro adjust.
