40th Birthday NWA
I have been eyeing on the Lange 1 moonphase in RG for the longest time since I started my horology journey in 2019.
Prices has shot up the roof while secondary prices are a little softer now. Its still about $7500 more than what I would get in 2019. Having a young toddler and not going too crazy given the current financial climate meant that I have to be more prudent with my spending.
Did consider a cheaper alternative in Breguet Classique Regulator in RG.
Just felt that it's a little too dressy and may not have enough wrist time or only wear on special occasions.
As majority of my watch purchases are dressier timepieces. I thought why not get one of the integrated bracelet watch that I like.
Bvlgari Octo Finissimo and Chopard Alpine Eagle are on my shortlist. However, I don't like the date window of AE and Octo Finissimo wears too flat and big on my small wrist.
It was during my recent trip in Saigon, met up with a watch enthusiast and he happens to have the Octo Roma Worldtimer. The watch although at 41mm, wears alot better than the Octo Finissimo and its with a Worldtime Complication that I always wanted.
Sometimes a watch may not be in the radar, but once it connects with you. You know you will want to add it to the collection.
