Good morning peeps! Panerai is one of those brands for whom my interest waned with the questionable moves they made a couple of years ago, but I’ve always waited a Luminor. They’ve extended an invite to a breakfast this morning and I think I may walk away with a Quaranta 🙂. Of these two, I’m largely ambivalent and will make a call when I get them both on wrist — but I’m curious, which would you choose if you were going for either?

It would depend on what other watches I already have. But all being equal I think the black is more classic Panerai.
Gotta be the original black for me 😉👍🏻
So, I had this battle too. At first I loved the blue dial but it was a bit more flashy due to the sunburst dial. That seemed to dress up the watch a bit.
Also, I was shocked at how that little blue second hand on the black dial helped to make it much more interesting.
So, after initially wanting the blue, I got the black.
Wow, neck and neck! Most of my watches are black dialled but I’m drawn to that little blue seconds hand. The wife loves the blue. I could honestly go either way — think I need another glass of Prosecco to decide 😋
Dangers of dining with Paneristi — I was swayed by something out of left field and now a member of the club 🙂. NWA post coming soon!
