Grey vs retail

At the dealer today and got to try on dj 126234. Wow! Loved it.

I know some watches on the gray market are so much more expensive and some are cheaper. But I wanted see what the community had recommendations on where I can look into this?

Is there a site where I can see how much watches are trading for?

Do you have any recommendations where I should buy from?

I’m even open to a couple years older model if that makes it cheaper or easier to get, but I’m guessing they are all the same price until there is some sort of refresh to that watch.

My $0.02. I often hear YouTubers say things like “Never buy a watch from grey market when the price is higher than MSRP!” I understand the sentiment. I don’t like flippers who buys and sells immediately for financial gain, either.

But taking into consideration the MSRP increase while you wait for that call, it makes sense sometimes to buy from grey. When the price gap isn’t huge, you may pay less buying it now from grey than in one year’s time after a couple of MSRP increases.

That’s totally fair. I feel like I’m already at the top of my budget or I’m willing to pay for a watch. But I respect others that do or willing to go over msrp.
