Pardon my poor shot of it as it was taken from my phone. It’s actually a light blue tone. The dial has a matt off white center with the two silver sub dials. It’s definitely the more legible one. But the salmon’s rised indexes and rich colour elevated its looks to another level. Especially when you looked at it in the metal.
Take a look at Dekla. They make their own cases, dials, hands and crowns all in-house in Stuttgart, Germany. You can find their Fliegers for under 1k. They’re customisable. Their quality is very good too.
I find Dekla has a more refined finishing. Dekla has has a thicker side profile, hence it’ll protrude more under a shirt cuff. It’s more suited for casual wear in this sense. The overall feel and finishing feels better than Stowa. But Stowa wins hands down when you turn it around. Stowa movement is finished beautifully. Dekla’s back is in a closed case. And I understand that it’s a basic movement with no decoration or blue screws. Dekla’s dial is sharper than Stowa’s. Dekla printing is sharper & has a higher/thicker print. Imho considering their prices, Dekla is the obvious winner here.
