The Dietrich SD-2
The honeymoon stage is in full effect with my most recent acquisition.
I had some birthday money set aside and eyes peeled for a new dive watch.
This SD-2 came up for sale on eBay and the price was right so I pulled the trigger.
Couldn’t be happier with the decision. I had been on the look for something I could feel comfortable wearing to work. Something that was well built and could stand up to working in the trades.
My skx007 has server me faithfully for the past 3 years, but I’m super excited to have this in to split wrist time with it.
The two divers couldn’t be more different. The size, design, bezel action, and feel on the wrist are nothing alike and I love that.
I don’t own anything like this SD-2.
Unique handset for a diver. The sandwich dial adds a ton of depth and character. Overall just a lot of small details that make this watch a joy to wear.
This SD-2 is my first time dipping my toes in the micro brand space and I have no regrets.
It’s definitely not a perfect watch. But at the price I got it I honestly couldn’t be happier with it.
