Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
Wore a smart watch for years. Got annoyed by the constant notifications so I turned them off. Then got annoyed by needing to charge the watch every few days which led to my interest in mechanical/quartz watches.

First watch ever: A swatch field-style watch. First watch purchased with intention: Hamilton Khaki Auto
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I have a Seiko Dx from 1970; it was a gift from my grandparents to my dad on his 21st birthday. He gave it to me in 2021. It's gorgeous.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Take your time and enjoy what you have. There is a strong pull to purchase the watch NOW due to it being limited or you found a great deal etc. The fact is that other great deals will come along.
