My pops bought me a Timex Weekender in my high school years - that was my first ever proper watch. Anything older than that is a power ranger/kamen rider toy watch.
That canvas/NATO strap watch was what's cool at the time, especially with the early trends of Daniel Wellington watches coming up. That Timex Weekender, unfortunately, is now nowhere to be found. But funnily enough, I do still possess its original strap, just not the watch.
