Anybody else having challenges with WRUW-dates?

When I became a more active Cruncher, I decided that I would develop a routine to check WatchCrunch every day and do so by acquiring the Wristy 180 badge.

Today is the day I should have received the Wristy 180 badge, except I didn't. The reason for that is a bug in the way WatchCrunch handles dates.

I travel a lot, and this means that occasionally I post my WRUWs from airports in the middle of the night in varying time zones. But I always try to ensure that my WRUW posting streak doesn't end.

And I have done that, except for one day when something within WatchCrunch thinks I posted twice during one day. However, the same WatchCrunch - from another viewpoint - shows that I have 'correctly' posted on consecutive dates.

See the images: the 'WRUW'-view shows two posts on one day, whereas the 'Gallery'-view shows that I have posted on consecutive days.

Has anyone else had similar issues? I have reported this to the 'BugLord' and hope that I'll get my badge one day.

I'm sticking to my original plan and will now stop posting WRUWs every day, focusing on creating different types of posts in the future - never thought that I'd start with a bug report 😂

Yep happens. I have noticed that some WC peeps post twice a day at different times. I have my 30 and going for my 60, but think I shall throw the towel in after this, all for a virtual badge 😂

But Paul, didn't they tell you that you can't stop until you have the Wristy 90 badge? 🙄😂

I gave up!

It is a pain, I am almost with you Clive, the time and effort. People have missed out on their 180 by 1 day !

It used to be very predictable, the WRUW 'Day' ran midnight Pacific to 11:59pm Pacific. But because some people were trying to be "first" of the day, now there's this dynamic thing where the WRUW 'day' is based on whatever time zone you're in at the moment, but then it changes based on where you're at now or something.

@WatchCrunch needs to develop an algorithm that looks at time since last WRUW and the time zone it was posted in and then determine if your new post is 24 hours or less from the last one and calculate if thats...

No! just bring back a standard day! Sure the WRUW day might begin at 2pm ot whatever for people, but I think that standard of the same hour of the day no matter where one is gives the levelest playing field for those trying for the Wristy badges.

For travelers, it's trickier, but isn't that what a GMT is for?

Todd - you are genius! This calls for a new category of GMTs - in addition to 'caller' and 'traveller' we now need a 'poster' GMT! 😍

I'll take clever, but genius? IDK 'bout that. LOL

Thank you.
