Love it man, and I had a very similar experience. My 4512 Cali dial has been serving gym duty regularly on an uncle seiko rubber waffle strap. 

I can’t wait to see the new variation tomorrow, and really can’t wait to see what new models they eventually come out with. 

It took me quite some time before getting a blue dialed watch myself, but I’m still missing quite a few things:

• precious metal
• open caseback
• skeleton dial
• something really bright and colorful

Thats the 4512 from Serica, a microbrand out of France. It comes with a Bonklip bracelet but I’ve got it on an Uncle Seiko rubber waffle strap.

I just took this for my profile banner, but it’s missing my G-Shock (GWM-5610).

I owned a Unimatic but sold it as it wasn’t getting a ton of wrist time. Beautiful, well made, but didn’t quite fit my wrist all that well.  
 

I currently have a Serica 4512 (their take on a field watch) and am thinking of adding their dive watch too. I really like their designs, it’s just the right right amount of vintage inspired while still being it’s own thing.
