Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
A Hot Wheels wind up my dad gave me after a tonsillectomy at 6 yrs old. Yes, I still have it.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
My Dad’s $2 Timex. It’s a long story that involves someone selling watches from the trunk of their car, a lowered mini pickup buried in the sand, a broken leg and surgery, and my Dad with a terrific sense of humor!
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Don’t get into collecting to keep up with or beat the Jones’. Because there’s always something better, cooler and more desirable than what you have. Collect what you like and like what you collect.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
I’ve just started noticing Longines. The Spirit has a style I like, and I think they have a great brand history.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
