I’m a British Caribbean that lives in India. I’ve always had a watch on wrist as far back as I can remember, but got serious about watch collecting in 2015. Unfortunately sourcing watches in India isn’t cheap or even possible at times, but that’s not stopped the passion!
There’s a way using the hands and the location of the sun (a quick google search will give you full instructions). A compass bezel isn’t actually required to figure out north though, it can be done with any analogue watch, but it’s a cool feature that’s fun to rotate, especially as it’s so smooth.
