Freezing in Finland

It's far too cold for me to be all the way out here in Rovaniemi.... It's heading into summer where I flew from!

Wasn't sure how my CW would feel in the minus 19 freezing cold but happy to say the metal on skin wasn't an issue.

Nice one! Is -19degC the average or the lowest temperature?

Last year I brought my Squale Sub-39 to Iceland during what was described as “the coldest winter in 30 years”. Don’t ask why a tropical guy made that trip just to freeze in average temps of -15degC!

Anyways, glad to report the Squale did not only survive, but kept solid time as well! All on the metal bracelet too 💪

I don't really know. For an aussie, my average winter is 5, rarely below zero. So it feels extreme already!

You're a braver guy than me using it on a bracelet, coming from the warm Singapore weather. I opted rubber for comfort and fear of frost bite!

Yeah I did ask myself if I would be risking frostbite, and I did bring a rubber strap as a backup! Not making such a bollock-freezing trip again anytime soon; going to Barcelona in a few weeks 🔥

I’ll be there in a couple of weeks! Waiting to take a dive in a frozen lake on bare skin. I’m thinking wich watch will take the bath with me

·

Do you take after Whim Hoff?

Good luck with the dive. Let us know which watch you bring with you when you immerse yourself in the freezing cold water

·

Was there a few weeks back (for work, though), really cool place. Great watch, enjoy!

·

Where I live winter temperatures routinely get down to -17c and my watches in general and my CW Trident in particular, have had no problems. 🫣

The CW is a great piece. Love your fire, I'm in Scotland, warming up next to mine. The outside temperature is dropping quickly. Going through many logs now!
