Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
My parents bought me a Swatch for Christmas in 1992 called Black Inlay. Still have it after all these years and now have 34 other watches 😁
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
A cheap Casio I literally found on a street in a campground in the late 80s that had been run over by a car! It worked fine and just had a couple small scratches.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
My grandfather’s 1986 Seiko that he bought new that fall. He left it to me when he passed away in 1997 and it’s the one quartz watch I make sure always has a good battery.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Buy what you like and not what the hype beast tells you to.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Trintec, Orient, Nodus, Laco, Spinnaker
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I don’t have one and doubt I ever will. There’s just too much good stuff out there to focus on just one!
