Obviously a fellow Seikopath, nice collection mate. Next? Maybe something Swiss?

Guilty! What swiss watch would you suggest that fits my 18cm wrist? (Ps: Prx doesn't fit my wrist)

·

Hmm, not a PRX - you'll get fed up with it being stuck on one bracelet & extra would be pricey.

Personally I'd be looking at Oris , Certina or Hamilton - something of that ilk.

Or if you're prepared to save a bit & buy used an Omega is certainly within reach. I paid £1300 for my quartz Aqua Terra (don't discount quartz either, a high quality quartz from a posher brand shouldn't be underestimated)

Stick to popular brands, because they're easiest to sell at a later date if you don't fall in love.

I personally avoid microbrands for that reason, tho I'll be on the lookout for a Vertex in the future but that's because I'm absolutely certain it'll be a keeper.

Good luck mate 👍🏻👍🏻

Hey.. we have a lot in common! I have the red Kamasu, the rose gold Sun&Moon, and the black GMT!!!

Since great men think alike, let me share where my head is going for 2024.... :D

  1. Titanium field watch - Boldr or RZE

  2. Resist the affordable temptations, save, and buy a Tank

Other than that ... do you want to go for a sophisticated dress watch? I have the Baltic Hms 2 in blue gilt :)

Thanks mate. You're right, I should not avoid quartz like that. I am eye-ing on an hamilton Khaki, thinking to sell the titanium citizen I have first (kinda difficult though, it is such a well made watch at 200 $)

Love all three watches we both have. They are my beater watch, orient sun moon movement is one of the best, isnt it ? I actually dived with the kamatsu last week to about 18 meters (salt water), and still going strong!

Cartier tank? I tried it and it doesn't fit my wrist, kinda girly! I cant see your full collection on your profile

A khaki would be a good addition. Like all things definitely worth seeing in the flesh first. Hamilton are a great brand with well made watches.

Good collection you have there, we share the Seiko GMT and the Sea Gull 1963, in principle I would tell you that you need a military one, maybe a Hamilton Khaki or a CWC

Nice collection I want to pick up one of the seiko speedtimers like you got. I love that watch.

I agree with everyone saying go Hamilton next but the model I would get would be the Intra matic with the dials that fade from light to dark

Same ... the GMT is my most work, kinda beater GADA. The Sun and Moon is a bit too big for me ... but, but ... that dial!!! And the red Kamasu is absolutely gorgeous, and does very well for an evening out with friends (havent taken it to the sea yet).

Apart from those, I have the Baltic that I mentioned (will be too small for u i guess, 38mm). And a Wise ad7 damascus steel teal dial on the way. Just got into the game in 2023...trying to take it slow and easy...phewww!!

:D

·

The orient kamasu in red cos I have one too haha. Nice!

·

G-Shock/Casio - you need a good beater

Haha it is a very dangerous game be careful haha.

Honestly I like the damascus one. It kinda has the Grand Seiko vibe to me. The baltic however didnt look that nice, it kinda looks like swatch sistem51 =X (sorry).

How about a Vostok ? :D any thoughts?

Yeah Casioak is the next one. Waiting for a sale !

Hamilton! 😍

·

I not going to rate your collection my opinion is every collection is perfect for the person who built it. I would suggest you try Zelos or Venezianico next

Speedtimer

·

I Like the Presage and the Seagull a lot. Some watches to consider in my view are hamilton, Oris or maybe a zodiac. Another thought is a Vintage piece... :) Ah and also check Venezianico and Skywatch

·

Easy for me, that Seagull 1963 is Boss of this lot. Great collection mate. U need a square watch of some sort, so many round clicky bezels😉

·

Nice collection, i would personally get rid of the gold case orient, semi skeleton dial seiko pressage and ublast and look for something like Oris Aquis or diver 65, maybe longines Spirit or hydroconquest

Yeah, maybe a cartier. Its getting really expensive these days...

Hi Wizerhere not necessarily, theres a bunch of ones other than the Tank... theres Nomos Tetra or even Brew, or Rado True Square or Vario's Versa is cool. Lots of great Square options. Diff price points. Heck even a Casio Royale😉

·
thiago

Nice collection, well balanced. I like the fact you try to keep a pair of each category of watches:

2 Divers

2 Chronos

2 Dress

I can suggest you to consider a Hamilton Khaki Field or the quartz version of the Longies Conquest, I spot several of then on sale at Jomashop recently. It has a similar aesthetic as that Ublast, you may like it.

BTW, every time I see a SSA455 I remember of a Lion Fish 😜

Image

Oh nooo the lion fish. Haha so true. It is a beautiful watch. My favorite. I only wear it in special ocassions!

Great collections and great choice in brands although I've never heard of UBLAST.

Yeah its a micro brand from italy and Sellita movement. Good quality 👌

Probably not for me ... but its a cult classic, not expensive so what could go wrong?! You do you!!!

Tho while u r at it, do u wanna check out the citizen promaster autmatoc divers? I was fancying the burnt orange :P

That's such a good watch! The black strap looks better. Go for it !!

A Bulova Lunar Pilot.

·

1. Orient Kamasu - arguably the best sub-$1k dive watch AND in the bold red color way - big points here.

2. Citizen Tsuyosa is a nice solid color for versatility - good choice.

3. Seiko Solar Panda Chrono - superb compact size and aesthetics and a grab and go GADA - top notch piece to have.

4. Seiko5 GMT - Great choice with black for a sporty GMT that can be used in many casual and travel settings

5. Seagull 1963 Chrono - iconic value piece with some history - but the ST19 is a beauty of a movement and where I think this piece really shines

*The rest is a good selection of primarily entry level pieces with diverse aesthetics.

Overall - VERY NICE collection centered on Japanese brands and models you can be proud of and wear with confidence in any situation. Top notch job.

Next piece - A Kuoe Field Watch perhaps?
