The little anchor at the 12 o'clock position that spins around is mounted on a ruby. When the anchor stops spinning that indicates the watch needs to be serviced and the jewels need to be oiled.

This one was new old stock, Never worn. I had it gone through to get the old oil off the jewels.. But other than that it was pristine.

My guy said the jewel was fine but they can be replaced. It's an interesting idea
