I followed The Art of Manliness in college. They had a lot to say about dressing with a certain level of class and maturity, and watches were always a part of the conversation.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Timex Weekender. Cream dial, red second hand, a green nato, and the loudest tick ever.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Don’t take my advice. I’m pretty much a novice here.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I have a hard time thinking about a watch that would cost more than $1,000. No judgement towards others (I wouldn’t be here if there was, lol), just my current financial worldview. That said, I’d love a Longines Spirit 37mm someday. It just seems so simple, yet perfect.
