Swapped crappy clasp with Seiko milled, game changer.

A bit of an impulse purchase, but my AD offered me a $100 off so I had to get this SSK001 GMT. First impressions are great, fit and finish are seemingly much better than my SKXs. The dial is a matte black with slight grain texture that tones down the rather flashy hardlex bezel and cyclops. First thing I did was throw out that terrible clasp and put on an extra Seiko milled clasp from one of my slightly higher end Seiko Divers. It completely changes the feel of the watch honestly. The stock clasp was sharp and cheap, and felt like an afterthought. I put on the milled clasp and with its beveled edges and slimmer profile it makes the bracelet feel genuinely premium. The rest of the bracelet (links, endlinks, fit and finish) is actually really really good! Highly recommend doing this to your own SSKs!

how did you define much better finishing than the skx?

It was a little sharper, the edges between finishes a bit better defined and the bezel feels like it's machined slightly better. Only a small step better but noticeable to someone who wears his SKX consistently.

This mods look awesome, the original clasp from SSK it's a big turn down.

I'd like to know more about the new clasp you are using.

What exact model is the "slightly higher end Seiko Divers"?

Thanks in advance👌

Could you provide a link for the milled clasp?
