I agree with regards to the Pelagos 39. Definitely a tooly 5 digit sub vibe but very different animals. I own both and they are not interchangeable in my rotation. The 5 digit sub came from a classier time when even tools had refinements in appearance. Look at a 1963 Thunderbird and a modern Tesla. The T-bird is design with function. The Tesla function with design. To me it's like the difference between cast iron and forged, worked steel. Mjölnir v Stormbreaker.
It is darker. The LED lighting of my desk lamp lightened it up a bit on that shot. It is definitely a slate gray on the color chart somewhere very close to this:
Slate Gray
Hex #657383
RGB 101, 115, 131
CMYK 23, 12, 0, 49
It works with everything I put it on.
Here is another example with more natural light and some LED backlight. Hope this helps!
My Gen Zed daughter grabbed my green and black Casio F91W last year and never takes it off. She says she's coming after my gold one next... I picked one up in Japan in 1990 and wore it until it died, which included two tours in Gulf War One. I have hope for the Zeds.
