The indicator to the left of the 9 is a day/night indicator as the watch also has a GMT function - I have attached a picture with the second time zone hour hand showing as it’s normally behind the hour hand.
Thanks - it’s unusual. That’s what drew me to it as I wanted a chronograph that looked different as this was it 😃. It also has a GMT function as added fun

Wow… chronograph GMT. Not very common. I don’t think I know of any others.
