One crucial factor to consider is the size of your watch. Yes, even in our free democratic watch world (at least in our minds), certain guidelines should be observed. Of course, you can wear whatever you want however you want. My point is to avoid looking out of place, not to mention foolish. For those who disagree, just envision a 52mm watch on a 16cm wrist. The correct size can be determined by various factors, starting with the most obvious one: your wrist circumference. It also involves considering the aesthetic design of the watch, its genre, and even details like color and material, which can affect how it looks on your wrist. You're familiar with how a leather strap can visually reduce the size, while a white dial can enhance wrist presence. Size is also influenced by your mood and lifestyle. Are you aiming to hide the watch under your cuff, or are you proudly displaying it with a tshirt? Regardless of the watch and its size, we're essentially discussing a broad range of models, ranging from 37mm dress pieces to 43mm ultimate sports watches.

By the way, my sweet spot for my 17.5cm wrist, is a case size of 38mm with a maximum lug to lug distance of 47mm.

However, the topic I'd like to discuss is how all these considerations suddenly vanish when you mention the name "Datejust" and the number "36". It‘s like, from 10-30cm wrists, everyone seems to like the 36mm size. On any other watch, this would spark a heated debate online. "Ladies' watch," "too small," "nah..." But when it comes to Rolex, suddenly it's acceptable. And don't get me wrong, the 36mm works perfectly for me as well, but why is the general consensus okay for a DJ36 and not for most other watches? 2.) power of materials make a strong presence from the majestic bezel to the beautiful dial.

3.) the J style bracelet makes the apperance even more powerful.
