My first watch love was the Timex Honey Monster from a breakfast cereal. One boy had it at school and it sparked an illness in me! I've been buying watches ever since - Casio and Timex through my teens, through to a number of luxury brands - mostly divers. I also eventually picked-up the Honey Monster Timex from eBay!
There are very few travelers gmt watches at this price point. Mido offer one, but then you're breaking your sizing parameters. For what it's worth, I have 2 Chirstopher Ward watches (Colchester and Highlander); Both keep exceptional time. I cannot speak first hand on the Formex, however all reviews are solid and it's an attractive watch. If you get bored easily at least you can change up the look on the Formex.
You and I have a similar thought process. I was thinking of leaving whichever one I choose to my daughter. I went for the baby blue Bel Canto with her in mind, too. I love the blue fume but I have a few blue dialled watches. I love the plum but don't foresee it getting enough wear! Ridiculous first world problems 🤣
You're photo's are fantastic. Thanks for these, but you've really thrown me now! I pushed out the build slot as I'm keen to see the Model 3, but I'm also at a loss of which variant to pick-up. Great problem to have I know, but it's very frustrating as I have nowhere to see them in person - maybe a flight to Glasgow is on the cards!
Thanks for the post.
