Review of a Pierre Paulin Wristwatch

You are getting great value for your money with this watch by Pierre Paulin. The copper dial is stunning and its dimensions are perfect.

Quality

Pierre Paulin has done a decent job with this watch’s build quality. The brushing is pretty well done, but transitions aren’t very sharp and, although the website claims that the watch is polished, I don’t notice any polishing. Overall, for under $100, the finishing and build quality is more that acceptable.

Dial

The Pierre Pauline’s dial is stunning. It is a pleasant copper color with concentric circles surrounding a matte inner portion.

Movement

I have absolutely no clue what movement the Pierre Paulin uses, but it needs to be manually wound.

Wearability

The Pierre Paulin is the perfect size for almost every wrist. It fits my small 6.4” wrists and it would look great on wrists up to 7.5”. The watch is also extremely thin and disappears on wrist.

Design

The watch is well designed but, I am not sure if it is completely original. It seems to be an already existing design.

Other Details

  • This watch’s provided strap is terrible and it is on a Veblenist leather band in all pictures.
  • The watch’s crystal is acrylic which is great looking, but scratches easily.

Dial is mostly Longines with a little Patek thrown in with those interrupted hashes and lack of center sector. I like the hands! They look to be pretty nice quality.

Yeah, I was thinking it looked a bit like Longines, thanks for clearing that up. The hands are dyed blue and are really nice if you don’t need lume.

Don't have one yet but I do own two Merkurs (same company) and love them. Tremendous bang for the buck and nicely finished.
