Franck Muller is a brand that probably reached their height of popularity in the early 2000s and is just not talked about as much as they should be anymore. They pretty much pioneered the case shape now seen used by brands like Richard Mille or Hublot. Once held as the master of complications although that status might have been self proclaimed ๐ people have seen to forget about this brand. They offer a very distinctive look and feel and this is one of their best models. This is the Vanguard Yachting and itโs a more nautical inspired version of what is pretty much their flagship watch the Vanguard. The dial is a beautiful and dynamic shade/shades of blue with a white nautical star branching out from the center. Large white numerals that are very easy to read which make for an extremely readable watch despite its busy look. The case flows perfectly into the integrated leather upper and rubber bottom strap. It presents a level of comfort that is pretty incredible despite the watches large size. The quality of the strap, clasp, polishing, dial, just about everything is so super premium I can attest that this watch is worth its price tag of just under 10k but these can be found pre owned or grey for around 6 and at that price your getting slot
the main problem people have with the brand is the movement. Inside youโre getting an ETA which isnโt usually seen in watches of this price point. Everything else though is really well done. This isnโt a everyday wearer and it isnโt a watch for everyone but if you want a certain kind of look Franck Muller does it well and they do it a hell of a lot cheaper than RM.
