Ulysse Nardin Freak Cruiser Review

This is by far one of my favorite if not my favorite versions of the freak. An absolute grail worthy masterpiece of engineering that I was lucky enough to get my hands on and able to try on wrist. The entire movement is actually shown upfront and fitted into the hour display which is incredibly beautiful and well done. There is no crown and this movement is wound via twisting the entire case. It’s easy to do and at full capacity has 2 weeks of power reserve. This is a flashy and show off type of watch but this was also the first watch with silicon watch parts something now considered a staple so it was actually a very historical important release. There were freak iterations both before and after this model but I think this one blends the best of all the models together. Some of the newer freaks have a similar look but are actually just an automatic movement in the back. The back of this is all mainspring and hence the very long power reserve. It does come at a hefty price tag as these were around 70k new I believe and still go for 30-40 preowned. This is not intended to be an everyday wear of course and only has 30m of water resistance. 100 just to stay safe would have been nice. Would be a cool watch to at least take swimming with in the ocean if you could swing that price tag.

Check out my video for more details and let me know your thoughts on this very cool Watch.
