I’ve been into watches my whole life. I got a pocket watch for Christmas when I was about 8 or 9, then I got my first wrist watch when I was around 11’ish ( I still have both of them). I started really collecting about 8 years ago and mostly into mechanical watches but just started collecting some quartz. To me it’s about how the watch makes you feel not how much it costs.

Yeah! It’s hard to find good colorful dials and when you do most of them are divers. I like a diver but I don’t want a whole collection of divers.
They don’t have Red Star as an option either. But I have two and love them they look great, keep time well, and feels good on.
I was lucky to find a Citizen by accident from my birth year. But the best part was I picked it up at a yard sale for $5 and it works great.
I want to say it was right around $600us new. So not too bad and almost every time I wear it someone comments on it.
