I’m a Christian, a follower of the masterful Creator of the universe. He’s quite the artist, and I like seeing His creatures, His image bearers, create in like manner to Him, where they create magnificent timepieces in reflection of God’s creative work. I love Omega and Grand Seiko, that probably says a lot about my watch tastes and likes 😅. I am a one-watch kind of guy, so maybe it’s weird to see me still be so into watches even though I’ve found my one watch, but I still am.
I’ve always been into mechanical things, like pocket knives, cars and guns. It was a natural gravitation
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
The first one I bought myself was the Citizen Eco-Drive Weekender Garrison Field Watch (BM8180-03E), can’t recall anything before that watch. It’s a solid entry level watch
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Not yet, but that’s the hope behind my one watch, the Omega SMP 300M. I got it to be my one watch, that’s with me though all the good and bad times, and develope a ton of character that I can pass on to one of my children.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Don’t follow the hype. Do research, of course, but buy what you love rather than what someone else loves.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Christopher Ward has been blowing my mind recently, so much watch for the price.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I don’t know if I have one, but it would probably be a Grand Seiko.
