This is really an amazing watch, it's cheap, have an intresting history and looks great. Of all my watches this is my "non-watch-girl" girlfriends favorite and the one I show off to colleagues when they ask why I'm into watches. The craftmanship of mechanical watches is easy for anyone to understand when you show the the backside and let them wind it up and operate the chronograph.

Yeah, I count myself lucky coming from an "Omega family". My wallet could probably not handle being from an "Audemars Piguet family"😂

It sounds like your dad hade good taste. Do you still have the watch? I'm not the biggest fan of the modern seamasters but the 60s seamaster are some of my favorite watches, both the steel and the gold ones. Would love a gold seamaster with a black dial.
