New Bracelet for Seiko SKX 013
When I asked the Crunchers for bracelet or strap suggestions for my SKX 013, the overwhelming majority of responses said I had to get an Uncle Seiko bracelet. I was a bit hesitant due to the price (and the likely duty and taxes on top of the price....), but deep down, I knew it was the right decision. I pulled the trigger on the "executive" bracelet and I couldn't be happier. Fit and finish is great, and comfort is amazing.
I will admit, I can be a bit picky when it comes to straps, and even more so bracelets. I found the springbar location on this watch left most straps with a large gap between the strap and the case, causing the already thick, compact case seem even more so. This Uncle Seiko bracelet solves this problem, and gives this watch the factory look, without the cheap, jangly factory bracelet.
Unfortunately, being from Canada, I did get hit with duty and taxes, which made this bracelet cost almost twice what I paid for the watch, however I still think for under $300 CAD ($225 USD) all in, it's still pretty hard to beat.
Its safe to say, this bracelet will finally give my SKX the wrist time it deserves.

Duty and Taxes were $27.74.
Bit of a story on that.....I had been keeping an eye on the tracking, and after crossing the border, the Canada Post tracking site showed that I had to pay duty and taxes. There was a link to pay online vs in person when it was delivered. I chose to pay online in case I wasn't home when they delivered it. I got a receipt from Canada Post, and the status showed the duty as paid.
However, when they delivered it today, my wife was home, and she didn't know I had already paid the duty, and apparently the Canada Post delivery driver also didnt know it was paid, so my wife paid the duty again.... When I found out, I called my local Canada post office and explained what happened. I was told that it wasn't their problem, they couldn't do anything about it and I would have to contact Canada Border Services Agency. After sitting on hold for 45 minutes, I gave up. I'll have to try again tomorrow. We'll see what happens.
Going forward, I'll either have to tell my wife when I buy stuff online (probably won't do that...), or pick it up at the post office and pay the duty there.

WOW!!! LOL never tell your wife about watch purchases or ANY online buys brotha 😂🤣😆
If you used your debit or credit card you can simply call your bank and have the charges reversed. Make sure you have the receipt your wife paid at the time of delivery as reference and proof.

bracelet total with shipping and duty was $170CAD (about 125 USD). watch cost $100 (2nd hand).
