"The Waiting is the Hardest Part." - TP. Lack of Chemistry with your watch? Bonding not working? Show me those watches that still havent made your starting line up.

So we've seen these posts, the 'why can't I bond with my watch' posts. I know this particular Seiko will eventually click with me, as they say. But it hasn't yet. Show me those watches of yours that haven't found favor, and look inside and tell me why?

This 003 hasn't popped for me yet, but I know it will, one day... its lauded (maybe already by some) as an instant classic. That said, I will play the long game with it. Maybe the jubilee bracelet makes it too polished and formal to me. Less tool and more dressy, which is not my usual go-to. Maybe its the size, its a bit tall for me and chunky on my 6.5" wrist IMHO. I will add it into rotation in key moments and wear judiciously to certain big time events. So time will tell. (Sheeeah.. pun intended).

fall in love with that Hardlex glass bezel and its color changes in the sun just like the sunburst of the dial, fall in love with its beveled glass, the GMT hand of a red color and very important of the Jubilee Bracelet with its brushed and polished in addition to its comfort

It’s an excellent brand, they produce some really beautiful looking pieces, and the price is usually quite affordable.

Wow this is a good post and my list is very long as these are just some examples that I could experience on my journey and decided after a while: nah this is not for me for many different reasons from size to quality to design.

Try to do a cyclop removal, maybe that will change your mind. Or possibly a bracelet change to an oyster or some kind of straps.

Wow there are beauties in these posts. Heavy hitters too. I like your conviction and confidence around what u like and dislike in time pieces. Your honesty is appreciated.

Thx I dont want to force it. I believe in chemistry. I bought it originally bcuz Im a Seiko fan, I had an early attraction but it fell further back in my rotation that I started to wonder why. I want it to click naturally. Obvs we clicked before, so Im trying to capture that old magic.

What are you using the GMT hand for? A second time zone? UTC time? Also, the GMT hand can be used as a solar compass if set to local time.

So Lufty the answer is sync'd to the CST, so its my HQs where I do a lot of my business so a second time zone. The HONEST answer is like many, very little use, like many of a watch's extra features- like the Dual Time or Barometer or a bezel for diving when that person is living no where near a water source :)

Now theres an honest answer if u ever heard one.

Well, play around with it, and see what use of the complication pleases you the most. Using a watch for work stuff doesn't really endear me to it, and that might be why it's not clicking for you either

Good advice and point taken. I hear of ppl tying their loved ones time zone, or parents/hometowns, etc. Thnk u!

I'd show them to you but I sold them. I sure as hell did not get what I paid for them but they were just wasting away in my box. The culling has not ended.

I had this Lorier Falcon for about four seconds. It was too light for me, and I didn’t like how the bracelet connected to the end links. Good looking watch, but one something bothers you, it bothers you
