Cheap but meaningful (appreciation of what we already have)

I found this watch in a drawer the other day and realized I got it for the 5th anniversary of being with my restaurant group. Extremely cheap quartz watch but holds a lot of meaning for me as I am coming up on 20 years. I gave it new life with a battery and a fresh strap and boom! I'm back into square watches. 🤯

It's easy to get into all the watches we don't have but it's nice to appreciate the ones we do, even if they don't cost a lot.

Do you have a watch like this?

Found this in a storage box a few years ago. It had been out of sight and out of mind for so long that I remembered it being a Timex. Popped a new battery in and changed the strap and it lives on.

Love it!

A lot of my collection falls into the category of being lost in a drawer ( I buy from estate sales, auctions and flea markets) I suspect that a lot of them had wonderful stories associated with them, but are now lost to time. Hopefully I'm giving them new lives and a chance for new stories
