State of the Gallery

So, this is sort of like "State of the Collection," except that it is a current count of my WatchCrunch gallery.

I have been on WatchCrunch for 133 days, and I have not yet missed a wristy shot. (That's why all my posts now say "DAY NNN" where NNN = number of days.)

My current collection consists of 8 watches, 1 that is non-functional, and 7 that work. The non-functional watch is a Texas Instruments 1978 Model 550 LCD watch. The 7 watches that work are:

Stuhrling Original Concorso Raceway

Tissot Classic Dream

Marc Ecko Oz Encore

Casio Duro

Casio SGW-100

Invicta Sub-Aqua

Invicta Grand Diver

In the 133 days that I have been here, I have also worn 2 watches that weren't mine (they were my son's); those were:

Mini Focus

Casio "Arnie"

I also wore an Invicta Pro Diver during that time, but the reason it was not listed above is because I ended up giving it to my son. But before I did, I wore it several times. I also wore it once AFTER giving it to my son, because there was a day when he wanted to borrow my Tissot, so I traded him for a day, my Tissot for his Pro Diver 😎

I was curious to see which watches I wear the most. Well, so far, according to my gallery, here is the breakdown:

Stuhrling Original Concorso Raceway (25)

Tissot Classic Dream (26)

Marc Ecko Oz Encore (4)

Casio Duro (22)

Casio SGW-100 (2)

Invicta Sub-Aqua (17)

Invicta Grand Diver (29)

Invicta Pro Diver (*) [See above.] (6)

Mini-Focus (1)

Casio "Arnie" (1)

TOTAL: 25+26+4+22+2+17+29+6+1+1 = 133.

Top 3 watches by days worn:

  1. Invicta Grand Diver [GOLD MEDAL]

  2. Tissot Classic Dream [SILVER MEDAL]

  3. Stuhrling Original Concorso Raceway [BRONZE MEDAL]

And barely lagging behind in 4th place is the Casio Duro, and rounding out 5th place, "sucking hind teat" as farmers say, is the Invicta Sub-Aqua. Honorable mentions include the Pro Diver, which would have been more frequently worn had I decided to keep it, the Marc Ecko, which I only wear on special occasions, and the SGW-100, which I tend to wear only when doing rough-and-tumble outdoor activities, such as yard work. The Mini-Focus and Arnie are classified as "guest stars;"and that, my friends, concludes this post about the State of the Gallery. 😎

Amazing tally and streak. I've posted a daily wruw since joining too but my streaks were broken on the couple of occasions where I posted when the server time/date was changing and my post was lost to the ether. Keep it going.

Sorry to hear that, I know it must be tough 😕 Have you thought about asking the admins to fix it?

Nah, honestly, it's not worth anything time to do that. This is all fun to me.

For me, the daily wristy is about 75% fun, 25% obsession! 😜😎🤣

that Tissot!! 😍😍😍

I know, right? So elegant and clean. I love it! 😍 My son has said that he wants the reverse style, i.e., black dial with white numbers. That one looks cool, but I like the white dial better, personally.

i think it’s the white dial with black text for me. it reminds me of a Rolex Buckley dial. the stark flatness of it is interesting

Ah, yes, I see now. I didn't know what the Buckley Dial was, but I just Googled it, and I must say, that is a very SWEET looking Rolex!! 😍
