Initial Impressions: BB58 & BB54

Hey watch fam. I finally got my BB54 and have worn it mostly every day for a couple weeks - I know - should have posted already!

I love the proportions - it fits my smallish wrists really well, but what I value even more is the reduction in thickness. It sits really well and is super comfortable. The BB58 is very dear to me, and will certainly stay on a Nato for when I need a vintage James Bond vibe!

Finally - the bracelet. This is an incredible bracelet system. It really makes me wonder why they don't roll it out on other Tudor models. The T-fit offers a meaningful amount of adjustment - and five positions! My Explorer does not do that. I'm not a fan of fake rivets (why?) but you barely notice them on wrist.

All in all - I love them both, but for sure the better proportions and bracelet means the 54 will get more wrist time.

When my son is old enough the 58 will be his first 'serious' watch. I love that these things not only give us pleasure, but they can continue to give pleasure over generations, and pass our memories through time.

That's special.

I have to say the 54 looks great on your tattood wrist. I love that you still want to keep your bb58 and even thinking already about passing it on.

My boy is only a year old but i already think about giving him my blue bb58 as his first proper watch. Maybe when he starts university or something.

For me the best thing about the 54 is the bracelet. I kind of miss the red marker from the 58 on the 54. that extra color touch is cool.

Hi Bobby. Thanks for the kind comments. This hobby is (relatively) new for me, though like all previous hobbies I dove pretty deep - not in purchases but gathering information. I love the idea that a watch is with us through time (it measures it) and shares in our experiences - the good and the bad - and that when we pass watches to our children (or friends) we can transmit that emotion. The way modern watches are built they could literally pass through multiple generations.

And yeah - the bracelet is perfect! Tudor if you are listening - please roll it out on all your models!

I can understand you perfectly. My left wrist is 6.00". I love the size of my 58. Probably 54 goes better on my tiny wrist.
