Happy Birthday and congratulations on acquiring your Santos. I recieved mine from my wife last July as a 25th wedding anniversary present and I love it. As you said it does feel like a piece of art on the wrist and it's easily the most comfortable watch I have. The only downside is the fear of gaining too many scratches on that beautiful polished bezel,I know people say scratches add to the character of a watch and I agree when talking about tooly divers etc but in the case of the Santos I think it just looks so smart kept in pristine condition. Enjoy your watch.
My last watch purchase was split between a speedy and a Cartier de santos mid. Chose the Santos and so glad I did. It so very different from my divers and other round dials. I ts dressy yet strangely can be worn casual. I have a tank too and I truly love Cartier there amazing with great heritage's a superb warranty especially when registering your new purchase. Try one on I'm sire you'll then go ahead and buy one
