Wow - a very interesting looking watch. What’s the story?

Thanks! It uses a quartz movement, modified with magnets, to move the ball bearings around the minute (face) and hour (side) tracks.

It was made to be able to tell the time by touch, either for those who are visually impaired or don’t want to be rude by checking the time. For me though it’s an interesting watch that I got as a gift about a year ago.

So creative - what a great gift! 👌

I’ve seen online. May be the first I’ve seen here on WC but I’m also aware from my wife’s work with some in the visually disabled community. I’ve heard it described as a braille watch. 👍🏻

Love the thoughtfulness that went into that watch. Reminds me of my great grandfather’s Patek pocket watch’s repeater bell but silent. ⏱️

Comparing this to a Patek repeater is very generous – I appreciate the comment!
