Been collecting watches for a decade. Trying to keep the collection at ten pieces or less. Currently head over heels in love with the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 41mm. As Max says, buy at your own peril! Really impressed by H. Moser & Cie under the new CEO and am thinking very deeply about a piece from them, probably a Streamliner. Japanese and German watches are also an area of great interest. Rolex is a massive turn-off until the day it’s possible to walk into an AD to buy anything at any time.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Go slow. And only spend what you can afford.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
H Moser & Cie
Grand Seiko
Czapek
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Probably a Patek 2499, but it’s highly unlikely I’ll ever own one. I just think that lineage of perpetual calendar chronographs from Patek, starting with the 1518, is amazing. Simply groundbreaking in the history of high horology wristwatches.
