Upcoming baby boy…watch to get and pass on?
Dear fellow watch lovers….my next boy is coming to the world next June. I am planning to get a watch with a 7k $ max budget, to pass on to him one day. I would like to wear it for the first time, the day he comes to the world. I already have an Explorer I which I will pass on to my first boy, now 2. What would you personally get for your upcoming baby?

Congratz man!! Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra? It has a timeless design and your kid should be able to wear it in any occasions. That's probably what I'd pick in that price range.
Well…. If you have an “in” then the Rolex date just 41mm would be timeless in my opinion but it’s so crazy that most of us can’t count on it on a timeline. I love the speedy for this kind of situation 😄. Congrats!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I was aiming at a datejust but no AD can give me any comfort that this would happen…when you mention to them a stainless steel watch it seems you have asked for the phone number of their wifes

Timeline is uncertain as usual, therefore I have to look into other options
Datejust/aqua terra/any three-handers would be a safe bet. Speedmaster can be quite too much to take care of, considering he might need to get it serviced the time he inherit it, a chronograph could be a hassle.
