Prefer the Islander - handset suits the type of watch better and sportier bezel. Nice blue hands on sub-dials. Both are nice but Islander looks really good.

Agree re smartwatch - I haven't linked up Bluetooth and think this extends battery life too.

GBD-200, great MIP display, step tracker, Bluetooth, and not too big! Really like it, but navigating around can be a bit tricky.

Never seen that monster before - awesome!

Hi Harry. A bit late to responding but better late than never - and they are discounted right now! I've had a black one on an orange strap for about three years now and very well made watch. Size is fine, well-finished, great lume, and everything lines up. The round hour markers are perhaps slightly small compared to other dive watches but I don't mind this. The plastic nato strap is good quality but may not be to some tastes.

Living in Ireland, I was happy to support an Irish brand (obviously with global connections!) Good to support the microbrands and also with the knowledge if anything is wrong, I have confidence it would be resolved quickly.

So for a good-looking diver on a strap from a micro, I recommend it....especially with a discount!

Funny you should post on that topic - I was waiting for the AVI-8 (cheesy name I know) Bell X-1 to become available on Saturday. The orange dial looks outstanding but is a limited edition and sold out by Monday! I need to really justify buying a new watch so hard to pull the trigger on the first day. To me, nothing special about a limited edition - only the downside when you miss out!
