Breitling Aerospace Orbiter B70! Ordered it a few weeks ago and today was pick-up day ๐Ÿ˜

It is a gorgeous watch! The orange dial is stunning in the light outside and I really love the new case design with 2 pushers and a crown. Ordered the titanium strap as well, that will be delivered in a few weeks.

This is a new model that was launched to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first nonstop balloonflight around the world in march of 1999. It has a piece of the balloon in the caseback.

Everybody thinks that next year more colours will be launched in this case design as the new line of Aerospace models.

Congratulations!! I've had my B70 for 45 days. I have two Evo's for years and love them. I love the B70. Much better back lit. I will be interested you see if you have a problem configuring the watch. I took me a few hours to figure it out. I think the manual needs editing.

Plus, curious to see what you think of the alarm/timer beeper sound. I find it barely audible and pretty useless. I used my Evo to wake up for years because it was loud enough. I think the balloon material is muffling the sound. But, Breitling says they can't do anything about it.

Also, I've noticed the hour hand loses time and I have had to reconfigure the hands three times. I'm going to take it into the new Breitling Boutique in San Francisco and good chance send it back to Breitling Service for evaluation.

Yes indeed, the manual needs to be revised! I contacted custumer service and was called by one of the watchmakers of the Dutch Breitling service centre this morning to guide me through the process. I told him I read the manual at least 15 times and wasn't able to figure it out ๐Ÿ˜… He would make sure to pass on my comments.

So far I haven't been tracking the movement for accuracy, but after syncing with atomic clock time this morning with the help of the watchmaker I set my first measurement in the "atomic clock & watch accuracy" app. I will let you know in a week what my watch does in terms of accuracy. It should be spot on, or else they can take it back as far as I am concerned.

I really love the watch by the way. Design is stunning, the dial is stunning and the 3 pushers work really well. Only thing that is taking time to get used to is the stiffness of the rubber strap. After a week of wearing it still pinches my wrist in the sides because it is not yet taking a round shape. Can't wait till my titanium strap gets delivered.

I actually ordered it on the titanium strap and added the rubber strap and that clasp as an extra. But when it came out of the box in the Breitling store I discovered two tiny scratches om the clasp of the bracelet so they took it off and ordered me a new one.
