Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
When I received my first paycheck right after college, I wanted to treat myself with a nice watch, so I started searching for the best watch for $100-200, which WAS the most I've ever spent on a watch at the time, so from forum to forum and from one YouTube video to another I quickly felt into the rabbit whole.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
The first watch I've ever bought with my own money was the Seiko SNK807.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
For the longest time I wanted a TISSOT PRX, one day I found one for a crazy low price on a trusted online shop, I couldn't believe, I immediately bought it only to receive a phone call moments after saying that the price on the site was wrong. We had a big argument on the phone but I was very persuasive. So long story short I got it for tthat exact listing price 🤭.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Take your time to find the perfect piece, it's a very expensive hobby and we have to be wise with our purchases.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Tudor have been my go to watch brand lately.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
My Grail watch is the Rolex Submariner Hulk. One day I was watching this show with my family called Dynasty, and they rolled to show this wealthy man's watch, it was a Rolex Hulk. I wasn't into watches at the time so I didn't know what it was but I loved it. What interested me the most about the watch was its beautiful money green color, as they call it. Since then, that shot on the show has always associated the Hulk with wealth for me. So to know if I made it in life or not I simply need to look at my watch collection and see if it has a Rolex HULK in it or not.
