I have a gen 1 defender and it probably gets the most wrist time. Such a versatile watch
I have such love for this odd little duck. Is it a chronograph? No, just cluttered. Is it a field watch? Sure. Is it peculiarly asymmetrical? Yes. And I like it a lot.
Close enough, maybe. My eyes see the stone washed titanium, bead blasted steel, and anodized aluminum making a little Three Musketeers triumvirate of metals.

Yes, the asymmetry is what drew me to it as well.
The 3:30 crown (and 6 o'clock date window) on the gen 1 is what won me over to it over the gen 2.
Very cool trio! Nice #orient defender and I see a pro tech Malibu, am I right? I hear the action on it is amazing, I haven't gotten to see one in the metal yet

Protech yes, but it's called the Mordax, co-designed by Ferrum Forge. Great little button lock flipper, with silly smooth action (though detent is a little weak).

I’ll have to take a look at the Mordax, it looks really cool in your photo. Maybe you could adjust the detent?
Perhaps, but then I think: meh, it ain't broke, why mess with it 🤷🏾♂️
Good point, I was just thinking how much cooler it would be with a stronger, snappier detent but then again messing with it is unnecessary hassle if it doesn’t bother you 👍🏼
Not the fanciest of collections. Just an amateur enthusiast, with a little interest in some things EDC as well. And tennis. And F1. And nature. And science.

Sweet EDC! 👌
Man - I've already spent too much on watches now you have me looked up your flashlight

Gen 2 is still a cool watch though too

It’s a good one. I’ll enable the budding hobbyist in you and tell you it’s the Reylight Ti-Dawn Triple. Delightful little torch.
Great set up
