1998 SMP 300 - New Watch Alert!

My first Omega!

I've been looking for one of these for the better part of a year.  With prices dropping, I got lucky and found one in really good shape from a great seller at a really good price.  So ... I jumped on it.  Even Mrs. Northshorewatch was digging this one because she's a bit of a Pierce Brosnan fangirl.  LOL

This is my first Omega.  Reference 2531.80 with the cal 1120 movement.

Everything about this watch impresses me.  The curves. The way the bezel kinda melts into the case.  The wide chamfers on the lugs keep them from being too blocky and cause them to look almost twisted into position. The old-school aluminum bezel insert.  The wave pattern on the dial and the iconic skeletonized sword hands. The bracelet is so 90s but super comfortable and somehow still looks great without being dated.  My only complaint is the lack of micro-adjustment but a few days in that has not really been an issue. It just wears so well that it doesn't seem to matter and I can't figure out why.

OK, enough gushing.  Happy Friday, Watch Crunch.
