Yeah, they are not cheap. It would be easier to commission one from a maker.
As the owner of my very own Timex Museum with various signs and displays from the 40s to the 80s, my go to was ebay. I found even if you find one that is priced to high if you keep looking eventually you may find someone just wanting to get rid of one. Patience is the key. Good Luck.

It may actually be easier to get one from a watch shop that's looking to downsize. At the very least least they should be able to point you in the right direction.

You know, I looked into that because of your suggestion but because I live in Las Vegas, the only watch shops left are the boutique brands in the Strip hotels, or large name pawn shops. All the charm is gone, along with a surprising number of options. :/
